the2012 Training Events

At least one training event happened in each of the five Areas of the Diocese. We had excellent speakers: bishops, academics, authors and practitioners – and there was no charge to attend. Photos of the events are up on our facebook page. Here’s what happened:

Saturday 12th November, Christ Church Cockfosters
9.30am-3.30pm lunch provided free of charge
Speakers: Archdeacon of Hampstead Luke Miller, Richard James, Mike Tufnell, Philip North & Ruth Bushyager

Saturday 19th November, St Stephen’s Twickenham (youth stream only – 13s to 17s)
3.30pm-7pm
This event was entirely youth-led, with speakers and worship leaders drawn from churches across the Kensington Area.

Saturday 21st January, St Paul’s Shadwell
Registration and Coffee from 9am. Event starts at 9.30am and ends at 3pm. View the flyer here.

Saturday 28th January, All Soul’s Langham Place
9.30 registration and coffee. Event starts at 10am and ends at 1.10 followed by free lunch.
Speakers: The Bishop of London, Rico Tice, Jago Wynne, Dan Strange

10.00-2.00 in conjunction with More Than Gold’s ‘Get-Set’ Olympics outreach training day. BYO lunch

Everyone knows that being equipped for discipleship does not begin and end with a training conference: it is a life-long process of learning and growing.
